Welcome to Blogging**!**
In this yearlong elective, students will explore writing, self-expression, and media through personal blogs built on Google Sites. Each student will design their own site and publish regular blog posts throughout the year. Topics will range from identity, opinions, and storytelling to real-world issues and creative projects.
Students will learn to write for an audience, give and receive feedback, and use digital tools to enhance their work. The class emphasizes voice, creativity, responsible digital citizenship, and pride in published work. By the end of the year, students will have a personalized online portfolio that reflects their growth as writers and creators.
Academic grades carry through the entire semester and reset at the start of the second semester.
They do not reset every 5 weeks like Work Habits and Cooperation grades.
All communication should be professional and conducted via email when not in person.
Students are expected to monitor their grades and communicate their progress with their families. Families should use Schoology to monitor student grades.
Schoology is our digital platform for posting grades, assignments, materials, and class updates. It is the official tool for tracking academic progress.
